Presenting an exquisite speckled art glass bird designed by Monica Backstrom for the quality Scandinavian glass makers Kosta Boda circa 1970s. Designed by one of Kosta Boda's leading artists, this exceptional piece has a perfectly curved, clean-lined modernis t form and a wonderfully appealing colour combination.

The sleekly stylised hollow-formed bird is beautifully coloured with randomly sized frits of colour worked into the surface of the glass as it blown into shape. An appealing combination of vibrant yellows with splashes of white and brown perfectly follow the sleek contours of the form, combining to create a totally unique and individual surface treatment. The surface of the glass has an appealing frosted finish which beautifully diffuses the light and creates the illusion the form is glowing from within with light illuminating the sculpture.
