STUNNING BERTIL VALLIEN DESIGNED KOSTA BODA BOWL. In the BLUE GALAXY PATTERN. This is a very beautiful iridescent glass bowl designed for Kosta Boda glass by renowned Swedish artist / designer Bertil Vallien and dates, I would guess, to the Mid-20th.

Century (I think 1970's-80's would be a fair guess). On lustre glass it is depicted, predominantly, in a speckled milky matt white to its body with lovely blue lustre spots and threaded trails arranged in an abstract manner around its circumference, while standing on a small circular plinth which is hand inscribed at the underside polished pontil'Kosta Boda, b. Difficult to see, even in reality. It measures 3 1/4" (8.5cm) H x 4 3/8" (11.25cm) Dia. Approx; and is in excellent condition with no defect at all to report.

This is a lovely piece of Scandinavian art glass from a top-quality designer and factory in great condition that should get a good deal of interest from all collectors. Please note the first three photographs have a yellowish residue left from an old paper lable, however the last six images were taken after the residue was removed. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS SALE. Almost everything I sell is in the condition I have bought it, unless otherwise stated, (I have learnt to my cost in the past not to tamper with an item), and therefore I have neither had items repaired nor restored.
