After studying architecture and design in Germany and in Stockholm, Wärff became designer at the Pukeberg glassworks from 1959-64, moving to Kosta-Boda from 1964-74 and subsequently working as a freelance designer. Few have such a deep feeling for the glass melt as Göran Wärff who has always shown special interest in the master craftsmens traditional skills in glassblowing and glass cutting. The play of light within the glass and the endless optical phenomena are recurring themes in Wärffs art and design.
