A whimsical glass sculpture of the Biblical prophet, Jonah, who is sitting inside the whale. This was designed and made by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta Boda. Lindstrand was very versatile as well as talented and was a sculptor, draftsman, a musician, newspaper editor, and book illustrator before he was a glass sculptor. This piece is polished and rounded with the figure of Jonah etched into the reverse side giving the appearance of Jonah inside the whale. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks with tiny areas of roughage along the base edge from being displayed. The whale is approximately 7 long.
