Fidji Vase by Kosta Boda, Designer Kjell Engman. A Fidji vase designed by the Kjell Engman for Kosta Boda, Sweden.

It retains the original label with an etched signature underneath: Kosta Boda, K. Humour, playfulness and joy characterise Kjell Engmans artistry. The Fidji vase was produced from 1980 to 1989. The inspiration for this design was born from his love for music, the long neck of the bottle resembling organ pipes. The colors were inspired by shimmering rainbows of oil poured over water.

The name derives from a transparent watercolor painting of a scene from the Fidji Islands. Condition: apart from a tiny pinhead-sized flake above the label (penultimate photo), excellent vintage condition. Please view all the photos before purchasing, they complete the description.

While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are purely light reflections from the camera flash. Size: height 29cm (11½), 10 x 7.5cm; weight is 760g.
