SOLID SAND CAST ART GLASS BLOCK By - BERTIL VALLIEN'S - with small black base that has artist information on bottom (not in English) Base has some scratches on surface from the glass moving on it. THERE IS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A WHITE BALL BY THE CATS FOOT IN SOME OF THE PHOTOS. THAT IS A LITTLE FELT PIECE THAT WAS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PIECE. IT IS NOT ON IT NOW.

SWEDISH ART GLASS from the Ã... The term sandcasted glass has come to to be inextricably linked with Bertil Vallien. He took up and developed this originally industrial technique (used, for example, in metal casting). And continues to explore its possibilities which are by no means exhausted.

Retained by Kosta Boda since 1963. By far the most internationally celebrated glass artist and designer in Sweden. He has received numerous awards and his work is well represented in leading museums around the world.
