1960s Kosta Boda Goran & Ann Warff Jewel Pattern Frosted Art Glass Bowl Or Dish. This stunning art glass bowl or trinket dish is a fabulous example of Goran & Ann Warff's works for Kosta Boda.Created in 1960s Sweden and dubbed'Jewel' this gorgeous frosted piece features a vibrant blue & green Psychedelic Swirl flowing around fluid edges so rounded it looks as though it is moving and twirling! This piece came out of a collection that was full of unsigned rarities, prototypes and personal pieces so it is not surprising to see this piece is also not signed or numbered as Kosta Boda pieces usually are.
The pattern is clearly attributed though I cannot find another example of a bowl this shape. Coming out of the collection it came from, it wouldn't be farfetched to think this piece was acquired outside of general sale.
This fantastic piece of iconic modernist art glass is a beautiful example of Scandinavian design. Perfect for any collection or display. 2.25in or 6cm in height & 5.5in or just under 14cm wide and diameter and the opening has a diameter of 4in or 11cm.Depth from inside is around 1.75in or just over 4cm. Condition is'Used' - 2 small nibbles to edge on one side and one pin prick white dot on the blue part to the right of those.
The other side rim on outside has 5 small vertical lines in a row of what looks like the colour. I'm not sure though I have photographed everything so you can see. Very very slight and few scratches to bottom of bowl. Please let me know if you would like any further photos or information!
