Bertil Vallien started in 1963 his career on Afors glass factory (part of Kosta Boda). In the beginning he worked a lot together with Erik Hoglund. Bertil was married to the famous glass artist Ulrica Hydman Vallien.
Ulrica died last year but Bertil is still going strong. Now 81 years old and still working. Today on Kosta glass factory. In the 60s and 70s he worked a lot together with Boda Smithy (Boda Smide) and designed candelabras, candleholders and chandeliers. Wrought iron and art glass was always a great part of Kosta Boda! This longboat chandelier is approx 18"(45 cm) high, 15"(38 cm) long and 10(27 cm) wide. The four candleholders are 4,3"(11 cm) tall and have a diameter of 3,3"(8,5 cm). They are suitable for candles with diameter up to 2(5 cm). The distance from the ceiling to the chandelier can differ. The difference depends on how many of the five hanging extension bars you use. Each bar is 6,3(16 cm). The total weight for the chandelier is around 1800 grams. The chandelier is in very good condition. The glass parts are in perfect condition with no damages or flaws. I will pack very carefully with a lot of bubble-wrap. The chandelier will reach You undamaged.
