Bertil Vallien Rare Vintage Glass Vase from the "Tornado" series for Kosta Boda, Sweden. Bertil Vallien (1938 -) is a renowned Swedish glass artist who produced the "Tornado" series For Kosta Boda "The Artists Collection" in the 1980's. This is a rare vintage glass vase from the "Tornado" series hand made and signed by B Vallien, Kosta Boda No: 48280 to the base. The series consists of six vases and two bowls with abstract coloured glass inclusions on a low key, slightly iridescent ground. These beautiful pieces are very subtle abstract art in glass. Bertil Vallien has received many awards and some of his work is in museum collections.
