Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, Brains Sculpture

This is a Kosta Boda Brains sculpture, designed by Bertil Vallien and probably dating from the 1980s. There are a number of different Brains scultures each with expressions that he views as meditative anti-stress objects for both the hand and the eye. These sculptures are handmade in Sweden and are part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection.

The sculpture is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear consistent with use. The sculture is in the shape of a head and is fashioned in grey frosted glass. The sculpture is 7.5 cm in height and measures 6 cm across at its widest point. There is an etched "Kosta Boda B Vallien 99960" signature to the base.
