Ann Warff for Kosta Boda Footed Bowl 1973

Kosta Boda footed bowl designed by Ann Warff. Externally a blue band across a clear glas casing with a crackle and bublle effect. Internally peach glass is cut to different levels creating abstract and foliate patterns.

This ulti layered cutting allows more or less light through creating the illusiopn of a multiplicity of colours. Additionally this alters the rates of refraction meaning that as one moves around the glass the proportions are raidcally altered.

Signed Kosta Boda 1973/8 Ann Warff. 14cm height, 13.3cm diameter. Excellent, no chips or cracks. I have been involved in the antiques business since 1971. My career took a leap forward when I joined Bonhams in 1976. Some five years later I became head of the Decorative Arts department.
