This fabulously chunky hand made piece has been crafted in glistening clear crystal and features a large applied lozenge to the front face impressed with a wonderfully stylised monkey. The charming monkey design is executed in Hoglunds wonderfully appealing naive childlike style, adding a fabulous whimsical charm to this expertly crafted piece.

A thick outer casing of clear crystal covers the body, creating an organically shaped join as it overlays at the base of the slender neck. A subtle texture to the thick casing magnificently accentuates the stunning sparkle of the quality crystal. This striking piece has a sleek modernist form, with a stylishly curved rectangular shaped body leading to a slender neck and hooped rim. Erik Hoglund is considered one of the most innovative glass designers of the 20th century, and this is a highly desirable example of his work. This impressive piece stands approx 175mms tall, measures 100mms in width and 75mms in depth. This stunning bottle is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The sparkling crystal retains a magnificent clarity with no frosting or clouding. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.

This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an engraved signature reading "Boda H 166" mark and also retains its original black and gold foil "Boda Boda Sweden Erik Hoglund" label.
