Large Kosta Boda Bowl, Kjell Engman, Reef Series, 7070202

Plate, from the Reef series designed by Kjell Engman for Kosta Boda in 2002, number 7070202. The series remained in production until 2007. Surely a very complicated series of glassblowing techniques were involved in the production, two contrasting main colours depicting the sea and sand?

Both with small shell-like pieces, a moulded fish applied to the top surface. Signed and numbered to the underside, which also has 5 small plastic pads preventing damage to the furniture. A wonderful large and impressive piece, showing the best of Swedish design and glassblowing. Size: 13.3 cm high, 33cm diam, weight is 4.5Kg.

Condition: excellent vintage condition: a small loss to the interior of the underside rim, located only by feel, trivial but needs to be mentioned. Please view all the photos before purchasing, they complete the description.

While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are purely light reflections from the camera flash.
