Kosta Boda glass sculpture'Boat' with diver on wooden plinth by Bertil Vallien
Limited edition Art glass sculpture with stand by artist Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda. The sculpture is from the artist's "Boat" series and depicts a canoe-shaped piece of transparent glass with a red swimmer/diver floating on top. The sides of the glass feature a textured finish.
The top of the sculpture is polished smooth and allows the view to look down into the centre of the boat which features a three-dimensional abstract tube-like shape. The sculpture can stand on the stand on it's side (facing forward) or flat. This piece is number 43 of 1000 made and comes with its certificate signed by Bertil Vallien.
The boat measures 19.5 cm long, 5 cm wide, and 5 cm high. The stand measures 20 cm long, 7 cm wide, and 2 cm high with the rods adding another 1.5 cm to the overall height.
