Erik Hoglund Höglund for Kosta Boda, Sweden, 1960s amber glass sun catcher. A rare impressed amber glass suncatcher by the Swedish glass master Erik Höglund from the 1960s. The teardrop form features an impressed male figure in the distinctive cuboid/robot design. Max height is 28.5cm, max width is 18cm.
Inscribed to the back with the design number H866/B. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repair.
The swirls that can be seen are from the manufacturing process. I have left the leather strap on the glass and it can easily be replaced.
The glassworks in Kosta (1742), Boda (1864), and Åfors (1876) were founded in the south of Sweden. They were merged in 1969, and the company name was changed to Kosta Boda AB in 1976. Thanks for viewing my sale. If you have any questions then please ask.
