A Stunning Pair of Kosta Boda Bertil Vallien, Satellite Series, Cocktail Shaped Glasses, 1992. A Party on a Glass.
Beautiful hand blown pieces of late 20th Century Swedish Art Glass. Slight variations in size as they are hand made - one is 17.75cm, one is 18cm tall - Bowl diameter 11.5cm across the top. These are quite solid pieces and probably a bit heavy in the hand for drinking but fantastic pieces for serving dessert - i.
Chocolate Mousse with Gold leaf! Or alternatively collectors or display items. The colour, the shapes and patterns on these items are so beautiful and interesting. I continue to find interesting details on it each time I view.
Bertil Vallien designed the Satellite series for Kosta Boda in 1992 - it consisted of 28 beautiful, boldly coloured and wonderfully patterned objects - including this bottle vase form in several sizes. (there are slight variations in dimensions between individual pieces of the same form number because they were handmade). Etched/Signed to the base with number 99373, Vallien signature etc. Excellent condition with no damage. All fragile items from this store are packed with appropriate care to a professional standard, in appropriate boxes, using expanded cornstarch "peanuts" (which are compostable/biodegradable or re-usable) and where appropriate extra padding with foam.
